For quantitative values of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in ambient air by canister-based method,standard gas is key factor. Consequently,we compared two domestic standard gases (Takachiho and Sumitomo-seika) with Supelco standard gas by measured concentrations of 43 compounds using GC/MS combined with sample concentrator. As results, some compounds of domestic standard gases showed different concentrations more than ±10% compared with those of Supelco's. In case of Takachiho standard gas,those were three compounds:chloromethane(+12%),acrylonitrile(+16%) and 1,2-dichlorobenzen(+21%). In case of Sumitomo-seika,those were five compounds: trans-1,3-dichloropropene(+11%), 1,4-dichlorobenzene(+12%), 1,2-dichlorobenzene(17%), 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene(+37%) and hexachloro-1,3-butadiene(+40%).Because there are some compounds that show large dispersion in their concentrations as we mentioned above,it is necessary to take great notice in order to evaluating the analysis results of VOCs.
